EIT Strategy 2021-2027 agreed

On 29 January 2021, a political agreement was reached between the European Parliament and EU Member States on the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) legal basis and its new Strategic Innovation Agenda 2021-2027.

The EIT will launch two new Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs).The first new KIC will target the Cultural and Creative Sectors and Industries, the second new KIC will be in the field of Water, Marine and Maritime Sectors and Ecosystems. The European Parliament and the Council have yet to give their final approval of the legal texts.
