Dissemination and Exploitation

Horizon Europe has set itself the goal of promoting the further use of project results even more strongly than in predecessor programmes. This is reflected in a variety of support measures for projects and project participants, but is also incorporated into the regulations.

The relevance of dissemination and exploitation extends from the proposal phase throughout the project duration until beyond the end of the project. Plans for dissemination and exploitation of the results must be developed in each project. Project applications must already contain an initial outline for dissemination and exploitation of the results, which should be completed into a comprehensive plan during the first six months of the project. The focus is on activities within the European Union.

The principle of open science is also being increasingly promoted with various measures, at the political level with the strengthening of the European Data Space and the establishment of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC), among other things, and at the project level with the embedding of Open Access and research data management across all areas of the programme.
