Innovative Training Networks (ITN)

Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Networks (ITN) offer financial support for structured doctoral training for four years. Three implementation modi of ITN in Horizon 2020 are possible:

Type of action: training networks with European/international partners

Who is qualified:

  • European Training Networks (ETN): consortia consisting of at least three organisations (universities, research institutes, enterprises etc.) from different EU Member States and/or Associated Countries
  • European Industrial Doctorates (EID): consortia consisting of at least two organisations from different sectors and from different EU Member States and/or Associated Countries
  • European Joint Doctorates (EJD): consortia consisting of at least three organisations from different EU Member State and/or Associated Countries

Activities: research projects, (intersectoral) secondments, training courses, summer schools, etc.

Duration: four years

Topic of the project: open to all fields of research

What will be funded:

  • researchers: salary, supplementary allowance for research and travel costs
  • applying organisations: contributions for training and networking activities, conferences, coordination, management and indirect costs
