European Joint Doctorates (EJD)
European Joint Doctorates (EJD) will be submitted by a consortium of at least three research institutions in different EU Member States and/or Associated Countries. At least three institutions in the consortium must award PhD degrees. The training programme should encorporate the "EU Principles for Innovative Doctoral Training".
Mandatory elements in EJD are the inscription of the doctoral candidates in a doctoral programme, a joint governance structure, joint admission and supervision. Most common are double or joint degrees.
