The "EU-Intensiv"-workshops provide in-depth training for selected topics introduced in the "EU-Kompakt" seminars. Aiming particularly at participants already engaged in EU research funding, the purpose of these workshops is to further deepen their knowledge.
KoWi works with two formats to respond to the different needs of the participants. In doing so, KoWi includes additional expertise from science, the European Commission, the National Contact Points and the EU-Bureau of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), the Working Group of European Research Administrators at German Universities (BAK) or from European partner countries.
Workshops on Financial and Contract Management
The requirements of the European Commission concerning the management of EU projects within Horizon 2020 are in the focus of these workshops. Special attention is paid to practical questions and interaction with the participants. Besides general workshops on project management, KoWi offers trainings on the management of Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions, Intellectual Property Rights, Open Access and audits. The target groups are administrators, project managers and liaison officers who are entrusted with the implementation of EU projects or want to gain further insights in EU-funding.
Workshops for Proposal preparation
The workshops offer support in proposal writing for a specific funding scheme within Horizon 2020. One focus of the KoWi-workshops are proposals for the Marie Skłodowska Curie actions (Innovative Training Networks, Individual Fellowships). The target groups are scientists and multipliers, who are planning to submit a proposal or are in the process of proposal writing.
In addition to the "EU-Intensiv"-workshops organized in Bonn or Brussels, KoWi also offers regional workshops with different partners as well as webinars. Dates will be announced via the AiD newsletter and the Calendar of Events.
For small groups located at one organisation, webinars can also be organised as inhouse-trainings.
