Cluster "Civil Security for Society" 2021-2022

The Work Programme 2021-2022 of Cluster 3  "Civil Security for Society" comprises a budget of EUR approx. 414  million (2021: approx. EUR 221 million; 2022: approx. EUR 193 millon).  It contains six funding destinations, each with several calls and research themes (Topics).

 

 

In the following you will find the titles of the six destinations as well as of the different calls contained in the Work Programme 2021-2022: 

Destination 1 – Better protect the EU and its citizens against Crime and Terrorism (budget: 2021: EUR 56 million; 2022: EUR 31 million)

  • Call - Fighting Crime and Terrorism

Destination 2 – Effective Management of EU external borders (budget: 2021 EUR 30.5 million; 2022: EUR 25 million) 

  • Call - Border Management  

Destination 3 – Resilient Infrastructure (budget: 2021: EUR 20 million; 2022: EUR 25 million)

  • Call - Resilient Infrastructure 

Destination 4 – Increased cybersecurity (budget: 2021: EUR 67.5 million; 2022: EUR 67.3 million)

  • Call - Increased cybersecurity 

Destination 5 – Disaster-resilient society for Europe (budget: 2021: EUR 26 million; 2022: EUR 46 million)

  • Call - Disaster-resilient society 

Destination 6 – Strengthened security research and innovation (budget: 2021: EUR 16 million; 2022: EUR 9.5 million)

  • Call - Support to Security Research and Innovation

Only single stage calls are foreseen in this cluster. The opening and closing dates of the calls are as follows:

  • Calls 2021: Opening 30 June 2021, Deadline: 23 November 2021
  • Calls 2022: Opening 30 June 2022, Deadline: 23 November 2022

Some specific conditions apply to individual topics, which you can find in the box under the respective topic title.

The application needs to be submitted via the Funding & Tenders Portal and requires a prior registration there.
