Missions 2023

The 2023 Work Programme for Horizon Europe Missions includes calls for proposals worth approximately 614 million EUR. This includes budget contributions from several Horizon Europe Clusters.

All five Missions will launch calls for proposals including a number of topics:

  • Mission: Adaptation to Climate Change: Call Demonstration of climate resilience solutions in support of the implementation of the Adaptation to Climate Change Mission (three topics). Call opens on 10 January 2023, deadline 20 September 2023
  • Mission: Cancer: Call Research and Innovation actions supporting the implementation of the Mission on Cancer (four topics). Call opens on 12 January 2023, deadline 12 April 2023
  • Mission: Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030: Call Actions for the implementation of the Mission Restore our ocean and waters by 2030 (11 topics). Call opens on 17 January 2023, deadline 20 September 2023
  • Mission: 100 Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities by 2030: Call Research and Innovation actions to support the implementation of the Climate-neutral and Smart Cities Mission (two topics) und Call Associating Ukrainian cities to the Climate-neutral and smart cities Mission (one topic). Calls open on 10 January 2023 and 4 April 2023, deadlines on 27 April 2023 and 6 September 2023
  • Mission: A Soil Deal for Europe: Call - Research and Innovation and other actions to support the implementation of Mission A Soil Deal for Europe (nine Topics). Call opens: 17 Januar 2023, Deadline 20 September 2023

Some specific conditions apply to individual topics, which you will find in the box under the respective topic title.

Applications must be submitted via the Funding & Tenders Portal and require prior registration.
