Cluster "Digital, Industry and Space" 2021-2022

The Work Programme 2021-2022 of the cluster “Digital, Industry and Space” comprises a total budget of approx. EUR 3.40 billion (2021: EUR 1.74 billion; EUR 1.65 billion). It contains six funding destinations, each with several calls and research themes (Topics).

 

 

 

In the following you will find the titles of the six destinations as well as of the different calls contained in the Work Programme 2021-2022:

Destination 1 – Climate neutral, circular and digitised production

  • Call 2021 - Twin green and digitised production (EUR 403.00 million)
  • Call 2022 - Climate-neutral, circular and digitised production (EUR 334,50 million) 

Destination 2 – Increased autonomy in key strategic value chains for resilient industry

  • Call - A digitised, resource-efficient and resilient industry (2021: EUR 355,20 million; 2022: EUR 402,20 million)

Destination 3 – World leading data and computing

  • Call - World leading data and computing technologies (2021: EUR 141,00 million; 2022: EUR 205,00 million)

Destination 4 – Digital and emerging technologies for competitiveness and fit for the Green Deal 

  • Call - Digital and emerging technologies for competitiveness and fit for the green deal (2021: EUR 334.90 million; 2022: EUR 402.20 million)

Destination 5Open strategic autonomy in developing, deploying and using global space-based infrastructures, services , applications and data (2021: EUR 141.00 million; 2022: EUR 128.10 million)

  • Call - Open strategic autonomy in developing, deploying and using global space-based infrastructures, services, applications and data (2021: EUR 136.22 million; 2022: EUR 85.70 million)

Destination 6A human-centred and ethical development of digital technologies 

  • Call - A human-centred and ethical development of digital technologies (2021: EUR 206.00 million; 2022: EUR 121 million

Only single stage calls are foreseen in this cluster. The opening and closing dates of the calls are as follows:

Calls 2021: Opening 22 June 2021; Destination 5: 28 October 2021

Deadlines:

  • Destination 1 and 2: 23 September 2021
  • Destination 3, 4 and 6: 21 October 2021
  • Destination 5: 16 February 2022 

Calls 2022: Opening Destination 1 and 2: 12 Oktober 2021; Destination 3, 4 and 6: 23 November 2021; Destination 5: 28 October 2021

Deadlines:

  • Destination 1 and 2: 30 March 2022
  • Destination 3, 4 and 6: 5 April 2022
  • Destination 5: 16 February 2022

Some specific conditions apply to individual topics, which you can find in the box under the respective topic title.

Project proposal need to be submitted via the Funding & Tenders Portal and require a prior registration there.
