New study on good practice experiences for researchers in the field of standardization

Standards and standardisation play an increasingly important role in the transfer, commercialisation and valorisation of research results and as a result contribute to the success of innovation. Against this background, an expert group has prepared on behalf of the Commission a Scoping study for supporting the developments of a Code of Practice for researchers on standardisation.

The study has identified and compiled aspects of good practice from Horizon 2020 projects that have addressed issues of standardisation. The findings and recommendations of this inventory are intended to contribute to the development of a 'Code of Practice'.

In this context, it is also be reminded that the European Commission proposed a new standardisation strategy in February 2022. Standards are an important foundation for the European Single Market and the competitiveness of European industry.
