Pre-draft of Annotated Model Grant Agreement for Horizon Europe published

On 23 July 2021, the European Commission published a pre-draft of the Annotated Model Grant Agreement (AGA) for Horizon Europe on the Funding & Tenders Portal. Already at the beginning of this year the Model Grant Agreement (MGA) for Horizon Europe has been published, which will serve as a template for the grant agreements between the Commission or the executive agencies and the beneficiaries the new framework programme.
 
The pre-draft of the AGA that has now been made available is intended to support the contractual partners in interpreting the grant agreement and contains, in addition to the individual paragraphs of the new MGA, further explanations and examples for related assistance. Analogous to the Horizon Europe MGA, the annotated version relies on continuity to its predecessor in Horizon 2020. Changes are therefore mainly made in those text passages where also changes in the MGA were included, such as the calculation of personnel costs with the help of daily rates and the redefinition of the roles of third parties in the project.
