MSCA: Model Grant Agreement and Proposal Templates available

The European Commission has published the Model Grant Agreement (MGA) for Unit Grants in Horizon Europe on the Funding and Tenders Portal. The Unit Grants MGA applies to Horizon Europe Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) and ERA-Fellowships, which are both reimbursed via unit costs instead of actual costs.

In line with the Commission’s new Corporate Approach, the Unit Grants MGA follows the structure of the General Model Grant Agreement. However, the text deviates from the General MGA when it comes to cost-related matters such as form of funding, eligibility of costs, reporting obligations and record-keeping or the budget-table (Annex 2). Furthermore, Annex 5 of the Unit Grants MGA lists MSCA-specific requirements, such as standards for the recruitment of researchers, which in Horizon 2020 were included in article 32 of the MSCA Grant Agreement.

The Commission also published the proposal templates for MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships and Doctoral Networks on the Funding and Tenders Portal.
