European Green Deal Call: European Commission funds 72 Projects for the green recovery

On 3 June, the European Commission published the results of last year’s European Green Deal Call. Until the cut-off date (26 January 2021), 1,550 eligible proposals were handed in. The Commission has now selected 72 research and innovation projects for funding with an overall budget of EUR 1 billion from the Horizon 2020 programme.

The selected projects shall provide tangible and visible solutions to the challenges addressed by the European Green Deal. The grant agreements are expected to be signed in September.
