Further funding opportunities

KoWi is advising as a first contact point on the following funding opportunities.

 

Complementing the calls within Part II "Industrial Leadership" the Joint Technology Initiative (JTI) "Electronic Components and Systems for European Leadership" (ECSEL) also publishes specific calls for proposals. ECSEL is a merger of the Joint Undertakings "ARTEMIS" and "ENIAC" as well as of the European Technology Platform on Smart Systems Integration (EPoSS). Information and communication technologies also play an important role within the following Joint Programming Initiatives (JPI) of different member states that also provide grants:

• Joint Programming Initiative "Neurodegenerative Disease Research"
• Joint Programming Initiative "More years, better lives"
• Joint Programming Initiative "Urban Europe"

The Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) "EIT Digital" of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) combines education, research, technology and entrepreneurship with regard to information and communication technologies. 

The transnational initiative "Active and Assisted Living Research and Development Programme (AAL)" funds interdisciplinary projects combining research on ICT and Ageing. Germany will, however, no longer participate in this initiative as from 2014.
