EU-Mentoring

Target group

EU-Mentoring is aimed primarily at EU advisors at German universities.

As mentee, you will bring with you:

  • at least one year of professional experience at a university in the EU sector

  • A comprehensive basic knowledge of EU research funding, e.g. through participation in an introductory seminar on the topic, like EU-Kompakt I

These are some of the opportunities that lie in store for you:

  • Know how for practical work

  • Learning and practical application of new counselling techniques

  • Professional input on selected topics

  • Access to a network

As mentor, you will bring with you:

  • at least 4 years of professional experience in advising on EU research funding, preferably in the central administration of an institution of higher education

These are some of the opportunities that lie in store for you:

  • Reflection on and further development of your own work

  • Opportunity for targeted collegial exchange with other experienced colleagues

  • Expansion of your own network

  • Learning and practical application of new counselling techniques

  • Getting to know the work and best practices of other institutions

  • Professional input on selected topics

Participation

The costs for the EU-Mentoring (incl. external trainer and subsistence during the workshops) are covered by KoWi. The seconding institutions of the participants bear the travel and accommodation costs incurred for the programme.

The prerequisite for participation is an application with CV and accompanying information on motivation; for mentees, the support of the employing institution is assumed.
