NMP - Internationale Dimension

International dimension

The increasingly international dimension of industrial research requires a well-coordinated approach to working with third countries. Specific actions may include activities with industrialised countries and those having signed a S&T cooperation agreement in the fields of the Theme; specific initiatives with emerging economies and developing countries to secure their access to knowledge.

In addition, initiatives to coordinate and exchange research data will be encouraged (such as in environmental and health safety issues for nano-technologies), paving the way for a common understanding of regulatory needs by policy makers across the world.

The NMP call published on 10 July 2013 comprises two coordinated call with China and Japan:

  • FP7-NMP-2013-EU-China: Topic 2.2-2 Biomaterials: Imaging and rapid precise prototyping technology for custom made scaffolds.
  • FP7-NMP-2013-EU-Japan: Topic 4.1-1 Development of new materials for the substutution if critical metals

Deadline for submission (one-stage submission) is 23 October 2012. Indicative budget is EUR 5 mio.. Projects will be funded by the European Union and by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) respectively; both agencies with a similar budget as the EU.
