about the ERC / FAQ Proof of Concept
Application
Who applies for the funding?
The proposal for Proof of Concept Grant funding has to be submitted by the Principal Investigator (PI) in conjunction with and on behalf of the host institution. For the application, an official letter of support (Commitment Letter) must be submitted by the host institution.
Being the beneficiary of the ERC grant the host institution has to explicitly commit itself to allow the PI to manage the funding and to decide on appropriate resource allocations independently. A model for this letter is provided in the Guide for Applicants. This model should not be changed. It should be signed by an authorized person of the host institution (incl. name, function, email address, stamp of the institution).
