Reporting in FP7

Overview

The execution of a research project in the 7th Research Framework Programme (FP7) involves a set of reporting obligations with the aim to provide information on the use of the received EU-funding and the scientific progress of the project. In particular Annex II of the Grant Agreement (GA) forms the legal framework for those obligations.

At a later stage, the reports will be the basis for project evaluations and decisions on the execution of payments to the consortium. Each consortium’s specific reporting obligations during the lifetime of their research project will be specified in detail in the respective Grant Agreement.

The reporting periods are defined in Article 4 GA in the course of project negotiations. Compared to the 6th Research Framework Programme there is an increasing tendency for longer reporting periods, in many cases they are set at 18 months.
