about the ERC / FAQ Starting Grants
Is it necessary for the team members to be identified at the proposal stage?
Team members can, but do not necessarily need to be identified at the proposal stage. Nevertheless, the roles/profiles and expertise of team members required and the distribution of tasks should be clarified in the project proposal. The panels will then evaluate only the achievements of the Principal Investigator and the proposed project, whereas individual attributes of team members will not be taken into consideration at this stage. Once funding is agreed, vacant positions can be advertised internationally.
