The Specific Programme "People"
The Specific Programme "People", which encompasses the remodelled Marie Curie Actions, promises around €4.75 billion and a simplified structure. Marie Curie in FP 7 is funding demands that range from individual support for postdoctoral researchers and structured training for PhD candidates to the transfer of knowledge from academia towards industry.
The programme aims at enhancing in quantitative measures as well as in terms of quality the human potential in the field of research and development. Therefore, "mobility" as the central cornerstone of Marie Curie comprises international mobility of researchers as well as inter-sectoral mobility between industry and academia.
