The Specific Programme "Cooperation"
Funded with €32.413 bn - two thirds of the FP7-budget - the Specific Programme "Cooperation" concentrates on funding all research activities of international and trans-national cooperation. Therefore, "Cooperation" covers a whole range of activities, such as collaborative projects, network activities as a matter of coordination as well as research collaborations between EU states and third countries. Furthermore, the activities should be carried out under the norm of sustainable development.
Cross-cutting through all research themes, the following activities will support trans-national cooperation:

The Thematic Priorities:
Cooperation is subdivided into research themes, the so called "Thematic Priorities". The themes have been extended by security research, socio-economic sciences and the humanities.
