Cross-cutting aspects

Due to the multidisciplinary character of research within the Social Sciences and Humanities, many other areas of Horizon 2020 can be relevant for researchers of the SSH disciplines.

The Work Programmes of the Horizon 2020 parts Societal Challenges and Industrial Leadership include calls which are flagged as "SSH relevant". These calls can be found via a keyword search on the Participant Portal. Moreover, it is recommended to scan the Work Programmes of those disciplines which are close to your own filed of reasearch.

In addition, the new "Cross Cutting" Work Programme should be consulted, as it entails topics relevant to Societal Challgende 6.

Both the funding schemes under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) and the European Research Council (ERC) are open to researchers from the SSH domain, since these programmes are bottom-up.
