For the preparation of Joint Programming Initiatives the European Commission has published on January 12, 2012 a call for Proposal for Coordination Actions. The call refers to the areas Health, Environment and Regions of Knowledge. All participants in the proposal must be independent legal entities which either finance or manage publicly funded national or regional programmes related to the addressed domains or institutions which have been expressly mandated to represent the country/region in JPI activities.

The call refers the following Joint Programming Initiatives:

“Connecting Climate Knowledge for Europe”

“Water Challenges for a Changing World”

“Urban Europe” – Global Urban Challenges, Joint European Solutions”

"The Microbial Challenge – An Emerging Threat to Human Health"

The call budget ist 2 mio. EURO for each of the Coordination Actions. Deadline is March 12, 2012.
