The Proof of Concept Grant provides funding to establish proof of concept, identify a development path and an Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) strategy for ideas arising from ERC-projects. It does not fund research activities. It funds 100% of the direct costs and provides a flat-rate of 7% of the indirect costs (overheads).

A Proof of Concept Grant will consist of up to EUR 150,000 for a one-year period. Funding may be awarded only once per ERC funded project.
