The European Reintegration Grants assist researchers in the (re)integration into a research institution in an EU Member State or Associated Country (including the home country of the researcher) by providing a fixed-amount contribution of EUR 15.000 per year for the realisation of a research project at the selected host institution. The grant can cover a period of 2 up to 3 years and can be used to pay costs relating to the researcher’s project (including the researcher's salary) such as consumables, publication- and patent costs etc. The applying experienced researchers can be of any nationality.
For the next call which will be published on October 20, 2010, the European Reintagration Grants (ERG) and the International Reintegration Grants (IRG) are going to be refocused in order to reinforce the attractiveness of the European Research Area by merging and rebranding them into the Career Integration Grants (CIG). Researchers of any nationality with a PhD or at least 4 years of research experience are eligilble. They must furthermore comply with the mobility rule.
