International Incoming Fellowships are awarded to excellent researchers from Third Countries who are planning to carry out a research project in an EU Member State or Associated Country. The research project can be funded between 12 and 24 months (incoming phase). Researchers from International Cooperation Partner Countries can apply for a reintegration phase of one year in their home countries (return phase).
Experienced researchers of any nationality who have been active in research in a Third Country are eligible for this scheme. The researchers must not have resided in the EU Member State or Associated Country, where the host institution is located, for more than 12 months in the last 3 years prior to the deadline.

Who is qualified: postdocs and researchers with at least 4 years of research experience (full-time equivalent) after graduation
Mobility rules: researchers of any nationality active in a Third Country; they must have spend less than 12 months in the last 3 years prior to the deadline in the EU Member State or Associated Country, where the host institution is located
Duration of the funding: 1-2 years (+ optionally 1 year reintegration phase for researchers coming from International Cooperation Partner Countries in their home country)

What will be funded: salary + supplementary allowances, contribution to research and travel costs, management and overheads
Host organisation: universities/universities of applied sciences, research institutes, companies and international organisations in an EU Member State or Associated Country
