SESAM und FORCE

Reports and deliverables are to be submitted to the project officer by the coordinator via the online reporting tool SESAM that is an integral part of the Participant Portal. Particular attention should be paid to the preparation of the publishable summary reports. They have to be of sufficient quality for publication and should in no case include confidential project results.

Periodic reports contain signed originals of financial statements (Form C), the coordinator’s declaration on the fulfilment of its obligations and, if applicable, certificates on the financial statements and have to be sent to the Commission by mail.

Since 2009, the preparation of financial reports need to be done electronically via the online tool FORCE (Form C Editor), which is - as SESAM - embedded into the Participant Portal. For all FP7 projects it is mandatory to use FORCE (exception: projects managed by DG Information Society).

Project partners also gain access to FORCE via the Participant Portal. They are able to edit and print their own Form C and submit it electronically to the coordinator which will then generate the financial summary report using the data of the respective Forms C. The coordinator will also submit the electronic report to the project officer and exchange comments before signed paper versions are sent by mail. The previous access to FORCE through SESAM is not accessible anymore.
