Financial and contractual aspects
During my project visiting senior researchers will join our institute for a short period of time. Does the ERC finance the costs for these stays?
Generally, travel costs can only be reimbursed if they are related to team members of the ERC-grant project. Travel costs for external experts can be accounted for under "other direct costs".
The FP7 Guide to Financial Issues (page 63) states: "Travel expenses of experts participating on punctual basis in the project (i.e. attendance to specific meetings) are not travel costs; however, they may be considered direct eligible costs, provided the participation of those experts is duly foreseen in Annex I."
