For reapplications and multiple applications, the following rules apply:

• Only one ERC grant managed by a Principal Investigator can be active at any time.
• A Principal Investigator may not be associated with more than one application to the ERC during the same calender year.
• No Principal Investigator who has submitted an eligible proposal to the ERC Starting Grant call 2011 may apply to the ERC Starting Grant call 2012, unless his/her proposal was evaluated above the quality threshold.
• A Principal Investigator who holds an ERC Grant cannot apply for an ERC Synergy Grant, unless that grant expires before November 15, 2013. 
• A Principal Investigator who is a serving Panel Member for the Starting Grant call 2012 or who served as a Panel Member in the Starting Grant call 2010 may not apply to the 2012 Starting Grant call.
