KoWi takes the protection of your personal data seriously. We have therefore taken organisational and technical measures to guarantee the legal obligations for data privacy.

The following policy statement outlines how KoWi ensures the protection of your data and what kind of data is recorded for which purpose.

1. Data processing on our webpage

With every visit of a web site, data will be gathered and exchanged. With every visit of our homepage, data will be saved automatically and anonymously on our server. Gathered data are date and time, visited page as well as other technical data of the demand, e.g. used browser type and version.

Data analysis will occur in an anonymous way for statistical intentions. No personal user profiles will be made.

Cookies

Cookies will be used exclusively for the registration for certain services. No permanent cookies, which are saved as text files on your computer, will be used.

In fact, a so called session cookie with a random session ID will be written into the RAM of your computer. As soon as you close the window of your browser or go to another web site, the session is not valid anymore and the session cookie will be deleted automatically.

Session cookies will be used only during our registration procedure, if the registration form covers more than one page and the already entered data must be cached.

2. Personal Data

Personal data will be gathered and saved on our pages only if you register yourself for one of our personalized services (newsletter or events). Personal data collection will only take place in a technically necessary scale and as far as required to provide the services according to the articles of our governing association.

Data for the subscription of our newsletter (AiD)

For the subscription of the KoWi newsletter your email-address is saved in our database. This data is not passed to third parties. Other use of your data is excluded.

Due to the regulations of our governing association the following data are mandatory:

• Email address
• First name and surname
• Organisation

In addition, profile specific information (preference of language, the profile and interest specific data) is saved. You can terminate your subscription for our newsletter at any time by sending a notification (postmasterbn@kowi.de) and your data will be deleted promptly.

Data for event registration

If you transmit data to our webpage to register for an event, the data will be used exclusively for the according event. This data will be transferred to third parties only with your approval. Use of your data for other purposes is excluded.

Contacting KoWi

If you send us an email, your email and your email address are solely used for corresponding with you. Confidential data is not passed to third parties. All members of the KoWi team are bound to secrecy and to compliance of the regulations of the German Data Protection Act.

3. Right to information

You have the right to inform about your personal and saved data, its origin and receiver as well as the purpose of its storage at any time. The KoWi data protection officer, dsb(at)kowi.de, informs you about the saved data .
